Is anyone familiar with "Bertrams Print On Demand"?

I know our books tend to "get around," in terms of booksellers, etc., but it's also a good idea to stay alert to scams, ripoffs, and downright theft.  So I'm kinda confused about this information I happened to find, as it claims the publisher of the book is "Bertrams print on demand."

Could someone have stolen this book that was published through Lulu last year?

  • Possible, but unlikely. You won't know unless you're the author of the book. In any case, I looked up Bertram's and found an author service that offers print on demand. The company looks legit, and the author may have chosen to use their services for further distribution.

What I meant was I am the author, and it's a book I published through Lulu last year.

I've never dealt with any other company, so I'm wondering who these guys are claiming they published it.

I sent them an email from the form on their website, but haven't received a reply.

If you do a little research the seller at your link is as reviews such as >>   http://www.flipkart.com/seller/imusti/d6514673e8644336

This is the address of who is said to be the publisher >>   https://www.bertrams.com/BertWeb/BPS/content/index.jsp?s=176

    I would contact them.

In all possibility it's a company that Lulu use to make books, but it should not say it's published by them.

If you scroll down this page >>  http://www.flipkart.com/tell-truth-false-memory-12-step-programs/p/itme78gyfhaweznq

you will see that it has two ISBNs.

That changes matters. I didn't realize that you were the author.

Bertram's is a company, similar to Lulu, that provides publishing services to authors. They likely aren't aware of any wrong-doing.

It's also possible that another book was published with the same title. It's worth looking into.
