We're aware of an issue with converting some DOC, DOCX, ODT, and RTF files to EPUB through our Ebook Wizard.

At this time, we're investigating the problem and looking for a solution.

If you've encountered this issue while converting your file, we suggest attempting to create and upload an EPUB directly to our system.

While there are a number of EPUB conversion options, Calibre (Download Here) has shown the best results for creating an EPUB for the Lulu system. Please review their extensive Help resources (Found Here) to create an EPUB 2 that our system can validate.

We've also created this Forum Thread. Post questions here and we'll do our best to respond and assist.

To set up a project with split royalties:

  1. Log into your Lulu account.
  2. Go to My Projects > Project List.
  3. Click the Revise link next to the project for which split revenues are to be set.
  4. On the Project Details page, click the Edit button in the Creator Revenues Split field.
  5. The Revise Creator Revenues Split section displays a list of authors in your Payment Contacts list. Enter the percentages you wish to distribute to the listed contributors.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Creator Revenue will be allocated based on these percentages for all future sales of this content.

Once Creator Revenues percentages are set on a project, the revenue earned by each creator can be viewed from the My Projects > My Revenue page.

To view Creator Revenue Splits:

  1. Log into your Lulu account.
  2. Go to My Projects > My Revenue.
  3. Click Switch to Payment Information to view upcoming payments.
  4. Select the name or organization to view from the drop-down list.
  5. Click Apply to display revenue information for the selected payee.

Please Note:

Creator Revenues from all distribution channels (Lulu, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, iBookstore, etc.) are displayed on the My Revenue page. The displayed revenues are estimates based on retail sales and the creator revenues associated with each work. However, since all works are offered in all country stores, the exact amount paid to the author may vary slightly from the displayed, estimated revenue total. This is due to daily fluctuations in international currency conversion rates.

The payment creators receive is calculated based on the officially posted currency conversion rates on your "payday" – not the day on which the title sold.
