Issues about old version of book!

Hello everybody.

I had my book published on Lulu last month and it went onto Amazon two weeks ago.

Last week I wanted to make changes to the book, and was assured that once I had bought a new copy myself, all Amazon orders would be printed from the new, revised file.

To my horror I have found out that ten friends all purchased from Amazon, but received copies of the OLD book.

I am so upset - how did this happen?

  • I believe that when you submit a new revision, it will update on Lulu right away. However, it takes time for Amazon to update your file, sometimes several weeks. It's best to look up your work on Amazon and check the preview to make sure it's been updated first.

It takes the same amount of time for the new version to get out to the Amazonian wilderness that it took for the original version to get out there; six to eight weeks at a minimum.

When doing a revision, it's always best to steer clients to your spotlight until you know the revision has made it to the Amazonian.
