We're aware of an issue with converting some DOC, DOCX, ODT, and RTF files to EPUB through our Ebook Wizard.

At this time, we're investigating the problem and looking for a solution.

If you've encountered this issue while converting your file, we suggest attempting to create and upload an EPUB directly to our system.

While there are a number of EPUB conversion options, Calibre (Download Here) has shown the best results for creating an EPUB for the Lulu system. Please review their extensive Help resources (Found Here) to create an EPUB 2 that our system can validate.

Lulu and Publishing

So I want to have a free ISBN and Lulu gives them. Does that make Lulu my publishing company?

Does that mean that I HAVE to include them in my book's copyright page? How would I write this, as in what is the format for that, adding lulu as my publisher in the copyright.

If I were to recieve a contract from a larger company, can I go with them after self-publishing with lulu?

Thanks in advance!

  • Lulu is only your printer although it will be  listed as the publisher at retailer sites like Amazon.

You should not add them as publisher on your copyright page.

You own all rights to your book and can unpublish here anytime.
